Project Aether: An unknown mineral was discovered several miles on the outskirts of Twingrove. Initial examinations show that it is not listed under the Periodic Table, as well as producing what was later nicknamed “AETHER”. The below tests were conducted.

Aether-0: Extracting AETHER from the mineral is not possible. Not only does it generate the energy, but it is what allows AETHER to remain present.

Aether-1-A: Exposing twelve (12) standard lab mice to AETHER showed that it did not trigger symptoms akin to radiation sickness. Hours later, however, the affected mice were shown to exhibit much more stamina.

Aether-1-B: AETHER exposure on a living human subject proved to be unsuccessful. Direct exposure resulted in a sudden mental breakdown with extreme effects. Subject claimed to be able to see a dark, humanoid figure with abnormally-proportioned hands reach out to them, speech unclear. Being unable to escape the room, they began trying to break out of the room at the expense of severe physical injuries. Compensation was paid for hospital fees and immediate treatment to their eyes and the immediate area around them.

Aether-2: Exposing non-living materials to AETHER yielded unusual results, based on element. Iron-based objects vibrated at an alarming rate, resulting in melting and, in some cases, spontaneous combustion. Lead-based objects were converted into gold, and vice-versa. In short, AETHER carries enigmatic properties.
