Adaptation (Learning How To Swim Spiritually)
(Thought the John Wayne clip was a nice touch)
Rather difficult thing to do sometimes, adapting to the ever changing environment that just feels like its wanting to suck you in at any moment and turn you into something you never wanted to be… So, do your best not to let the negative influences of this world bring you under, keep reminding yourself of the person you are wanting to be. Even if you have no idea who you are right now, look at the things you want in life, spiritually and physically. Challenge yourself to keep going after that.
1 Corinthians 15:33
“Do not be misled. Bad associations spoil useful habits.”
Proverbs 13:20
20 “ The one walking with the wise will become wise, But the one who has dealings with the stupid will fare badly.”
I myself am practicing to become a baptized JW (Jehovah’s Witness). Quite the challenge i might add, most find it to be weird thing. People just dont understand how hard JWs work in order to maintain their integrity/morality. The world we live in currently is saturated with filth, over stimulation of ones desires. This can be manifest in a number of ways, im sure you can use your imagination. They tend to get a bad rep from people who have never really done the research into their beliefs.
1 John 2:16
“because everything in the world—the desire of the flesh and the desire of the eyes and the showy display of one’s means of life—does not originate with the Father, but originates with the world.”
3 John 1:11
“Beloved one, do not imitate what is bad, but imitate what is good. The one who does good originates with God. The one who does bad has not seen God.”
What i mean is the witnesses are people who do their best to keep to the righteous standards that Jesus himself set for us, along with many other disciples of Jehovah. So many religious organizations try to paint them in a bad light because they hold so closely to what the bible actually taught. While others are just cherry picking certain scriptures and then developing their own dogmas or story lines based around them. Its really quite interesting when you dive into this, just like a good story. In fact, you can be your own detective an look at how things got this far. Much like learning how to swim or ride a bike, finding yourself spiritually will take some time and will have a lot of bumps along the way, especially if you get caught within Babylon The Great and its many deceptions. Thats why it is nice to have people such as JWs who go out of their own way not just because God told them to but because they really do have a desire to help others reach an understanding of the bible, they want them to have the same opportunities as well. Might seem daunting but its really all worth it once you get started. Lots of good friends within this organization, perhaps stern in their beliefs to some, id rather have someone strong standing for what they believe then a person who really is unsure of where they stand in the world.
Proverbs 14:32
“The wicked one will be brought down by his own evil, But the righteous one will find refuge in his integrity”:
1 Timothy 4:1
“However, the inspired word clearly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to misleading inspired statements and teachings of demons,”
I didn’t want to make this a religious post, but it seems that i have gone of a tangent, i apologies. Like i said tho, this can get pretty deep. Multilayered and very complex web of lies have been spread throughout time, with the main goal of keeping people from what they truly need, which is a real, personal relationship with their heavenly father known only as Jehovah God. So, with that said, ill leave off here, until my next random tangent i suppose. JahBless!
