The Collages I Didn't Involve In My Final Piece And Why?
These are the collages that I decided that I didn't want to involve in my final piece. I didn't make this decision because I do not like them, its because I found that these collages are not as successful as the rest of the collages that I made. The other reason why I didn't use all them them is because the limited amount of space that we have in our studio at uni. If I used all my collages it would not be far for the rest of the students to put there work up as well. When I was at the studio space at Flatpack I was able to be selfish and spread out my work across the wall and not have to worry about anyone else because I was in my won little room. But this is what ts like to be student in a shared space, you do have to sacrifice some of your work and this is something that I have learnt. This is not a bad thing or something I dislike because this is what being at uni and an art student is all about.
At the end of the day just because some of my work isn`t on the wall doesn't mean I am not proud of it, it just means that these pieces of work were the ones in my early stages of my work and if it wasn't for these pieces I stared off with I would have created the ones that are on the wall.
Alexandria Teixeira was involved in a car accident in December of 2014 and suffered a C4 complete spinal cord injury. She has been attending Project Walk Boston since March 2015. Recently she was able to engage her back extensors, allowing her to sit up and tap into her lats and biceps to perform a modified lat pull down. She has also increased motor function in her thumb and index finger on the left hand!
