We are looking for the right candidate to join our operations team at our corporate headquarters in Arlington, VA. Reporting to the Asset Manager of Affordable Housing, this role will be a liaison to properties regarding information about affordable housing programs, including eligibility determinations, maximum affordable rents, and other program requirements. This position will also provide support for all activities related to national affordable housing program compliance including: rent increases, reporting, audits, etc.

Responsibilities:

 Assisting the Asset Manager, you will also be involved in monitoring, calculating and communicating allowable rental rate adjustments.

 In this role, you will help develop and maintain tools for Affordable Housing Specialists/ on-site associates with the resident certification process, including developing and presenting trainings.

 You will assist in the completion of affordable housing audits and reports.

 You will also support relationships with regulatory agencies including the preparation of periodic reporting, researching resident issues, and maintaining compliance.

 In this role you will support the execution and communication of new programs: regulatory agreements, tenant selection plans, lotteries, marketing plans and fair housing advertising plans, etc.

Qualifications:

Qualified candidates must have the ability to review, comprehend and apply Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) regulations and Federal Fair Housing laws as demonstrated by prior work experience. Preference given to candidates with operational experience with HUD multifamily programs, Low-Income Housing Tax Credits, and/or similar affordable programs.
