I think Progestogen Hypersensitivity is linked to PCOS.
And by that I mean that everyone who I've met who shows these symptoms has later been diagnosed with PCOS, and hives are a symptom that turns up with what I feel is remarkable frequency in PCOS cases.
I'll go a step farther, and say that I think Progestogen Hypersensitivity should be treated as a red flag to start investigating if the patient has PCOS, if it has not already been established.
Anyway, uterus or ovary havers-- if you're breaking out into hives every month around your cycle, this isn't normal, there IS treatment, and also you should ask your doctor about ruling out PCOS.
If you're getting it, AND chin hair without hormone therapy, your doctor should already be trying to rule out PCOS and I'm judging them if they aren't.
I'm going to go bathe in a tub of calamine lotion now.
