â - Slam my muse against a wall after my muse has been avoiding your muse to ask them whatâs going on
Levi being passive aggressive wasnât really abnormal. Whenever Seth upset him, he usually resolved to pouting and ignoring until Seth pressed the issue. Mostly Levi always liked seeing that Seth cared enough to try and make it better. Half the time heâd barely remember why he was upset in the first place, but he kept ignoring and pouting until Seth came waltzing over with flowers and chocolates and the most pitiful look on his face, and everything was forgotten.
This was different. This wasnât something that he could fix with a grin and a bouquet of roses. Levi had done his best not to seem obvious when Seth had sat him down, bubbling with excitement that he had tried to mimic until the words fell past Sethâs lips. The way his heart sank in his chest was a feeling he couldnât forget, nor could he get rid of it in a few hours.
It started with bailing on their usual plans, and then avoiding him in school altogether. It was silly, but Levi liked to think that maybe distancing himself would help him get rid of the aching in his chest every time he thought about Seth being happy with someone else. Anyone else. A girl. Jennifer. Levi had possibly, very purposely, shoved her with his shoulder in passing in the hall, and continued to walk by as she fell to the ground. Maybe. But Seth didnât need to know that.
He could tell Seth was getting frustrated, and it gave him that same warm, butterfly-y feeling with each note handed to him in class, all mostly covered in question marks. Levi couldnât explain himself. He was too embarrassed that heâd thought itâd be any different. He passed him in the halls, and looked anywhere but Seth. The problem was that heâd left his grandparents in the dark. Not the smartest plan since they were used to letting him in as they had to by now. And, as Levi was organizing his closet, his bedroom door was opened. Confusion took over his expression, though he didnât have time to really say much before Seth was shoving him against the wall, his frustration with the shorter boy evident. They didnât fight like this. Theyâd never gone this long without speaking to one another. It was a reasonable reaction, especially after hearing time after time how often friends fell apart in high school. They had always promised one another, but Levi hadnât been keeping up his end, and it had all led up to this.
Of course, Levi was... a teenage boy. One that was currently pinned up to the wall by a boy he had very, very, strong feelings for. The best he could do was let out a slow breath, chanting in his head not to let his gaze lower to Sethâs lips. He heard Sethâs questions, but it was all blurred out. Eventually, there was merely a small smirk that finally played out on his lips. âGive a boy a little warning, huh?â He looked so obnoxiously smug. Anyone else would know he was flirting, but Seth was... Seth. âHave I made you angry, Elkins? Oh no. Iâm so sorry,â he teased. âWhat are you gonna do?â He was testing his limits, Levi knew it, and eventually, after a confused look was sent his way, he shook his head. â... you stole my favorite ink pen. The cute, pink, sparkly one with the fluff on top? You remember that one? Hm?â He raised a suspicious brow. âYou better go find me another, or Iâll really never speak to you again. Help me pick out a nice outfit and Iâll forgive you. You get started and Iâll... be back in a few minutes. I need to talk to my grandparents about something. Yeah? Alright? Okay.â
