I've been using "frisson" to mean basically sudden goosebumps caused my a mental or emotional stimulus, particular one you find profound rather than scary. But that's not what it means? It just means a sudden thrill or excitement?? WTF is the word for the thing?? You hear a quote or see a piece of art and it just sends a ripple of sensation down your whole body. It's not ASMR, because that's sustained and just a weird physical reaction. ASMR's not caused by profound emotion or whatever and this is. Is there a word for this???
