"So are you going to tell me whats going on or what?" Ethan probed. He looked between Addison and Hope who were both sat in silence in the dorm's lounge area. Hope was staring into space stroking her fingers across her lips, something she's always done when thinking. "Look, I'm no longer asking as your friend, but as your agent.." 　　"ETHAN!" Addison sternly shouted, which made both Hope and Ethan jump. I guess they just weren't expecting him to bring out the 'agent card,' just because he was feeling nosy. "How dare you!" she continued, obviously disappointed. 　　"I'm not saying this just to get some gossip Ads. Come on, you know me...and we all know each other a lot more than we let on okay? Professor Hunt was incredibly harsh on Hope for no apparent reason today over that script." Ethan turned to face Hope, "You also mentioned kissing a teacher today on the phone to Holly and you've already spent one night, maybe more, for all we know with Hunt." he continued. 　　"Okay that's enough." Hope breathed calmly and Addison rested her hands on hers. "That was a genuine accident, they locked us in for goodness sake! Nothing happened and nothing has since." she lied. "Also, Holly has requested that Thomas" she paused, "Professor Hunt and I, play the lead characters in her new script, which requires them to have a relationship of sorts...." she stared into Ethan with a glare, "Happy?" 　　"Not really" he sighed, "Look, I'm sorry, I was just worried that you were having some kind of fucked up relationship with Hunt, which would have effected your career, and I know I'm being selfish here, but mine as well." he realised that he may have overstepped the mark a little and tried to back track but it was too late. 　　"I think you should leave Ethan" Addison stated, "Ads...?" he questioned quietly, he could see that they were both visibly upset and hiding something. "Guess I hit the nail on the head then.." he mumbled and left the apartment. Hope looked at Addison and went to say something along the lines of, 'what are you doing?' 'go after him, I'm fine' but she stopped her from talking with a look that said Just don't. 　　"Don't shoot your allies," Hope stated in a day dream like state, "Something Hunt always said to me whenever I got angry with him over something that wasn't his fault in class.." Addison looked towards the door where Ethan had stormed out and sighed, "He'll understand." 　　"I know. But just because we're upset with Hunt and having to keep secrets from friends, doesn't mean we should take it out on them. To be honest, I'm just tired of the constant negativity and arguments over the last few months." she shrugged and Addison nodded in agreement. 　　They sat in silence for a few moments, both wondering about what was yet to come and what was really going on with Hunt. 　　"Look, Hope. I've been watching you and the Professor for months now, and it's obvious he cares for you. I couldn't say just how strong his feelings really are, but he certainly worries about what you think of him, and that's more than what most of the people on this planet can say about Thomas Hunt!" she encouraged. 　　"What gives you that impression?" she questioned Addison's logic. "So on the outside he's all harsh and incredibly critical of you and your work, something everyone has noticed." she nodded along. 　　 "But if you wait to watch him just that little bit longer, he can't always hide behind an icy scold or frown. He watches you when he thinks no one else is looking, he pushes you the most and sometimes, rarely, but sometimes he lets his guard down and his true feelings are written all over his face." Hope let her carry on, "I mean, just this month alone for example. He looked so hurt when you walked out of the coffee shop...and I don't know what he said to you after class that time we were late, but he's obviously regretted it ever since." 　　"Ah about that. Sorry we haven't had a chance to catch up Ads." Addison shook her head and looked back up at her, "Really, you don't have to tell me everything that goes on. I was surprised you told me anything about Professor Hunt at all to be honest. Everyone has their secrets, best friends or not!" When did Ads get so darn smart? 　　"So, whatever is going on between you two? It can't get in the way of this amazing opportunity!" she grabbed the script from the bedside table and shook it vigorously in one hand, which made Hope smile. 　　"You're right Ads, you always are." Addison put the script down and smirked, "Not always...but on this occasion, I'll take full credit for any awards you get from taking part in this script!" 　　                                                        *         *          *

It’s taken me months but I’ve compiled 12 somewhat angsty, love songs that remind me of the Thomas Hunt/MC relationship. Although complicated and full of pure emotion, they will always be endgame to me and so many others in this wonderful fandom. Enjoy! It seems no matter what I do, It tears my heart in two.” It always seems like our MC’s are always locked out of Thomas Hunt’s heart. He keeps pushing our MC away constantly. Rejection in any forms can break any person’s heart. Love doesn’t discriminate – they say you can’t choose who you fall in love with and in the beginning it seems like he just doesn’t care... when secretly: he does. ---

2. I Don’t Care – Delta Goodrem “Your body feels so right (feels so right), laying by my side. If the world should end tonight, baby I’d be satisfied.” This song reflects the idea that not everyone would approve of a student dating their professor. Addison, no matter what is always supportive towards our MC but somewhere inside she’s worried and doesn’t believe he’s worth the heartache and pain. But MC knows better, she sees glimpses of her professor that no one else ever gets a chance to see. No one understands or will ever understand the love that they share. ---

3. Poker Face – Lady GaGa “Love Game intuition play the cards with spades to start, And after he's been hooked I'll play the one that's on his heart.” This is the perfect song for when MC discovers her professor is attending the annual masquerade ball and intentionally attends with the idea that she could seduce him at the ball. Hidden by masks, no one knowing who is who... it’s one chance our MC is willing to put her money on winning his heart. ---

4. Toxic – Britney Spears “Too high, Can't come down. Losin' my head, Spinnin' 'round and 'round. Do you feel me now?” It’s too late now, MC is now hooked from the moment her lips met his. There’s no coming down from this, even if it’s toxic. ---

5. If You’re Gone – Matchbox 20 “And I think you're so mean, I think we should try. I think I could need this in my life, And I think I'm scared. I think too much. I know it’s wrong, it’s a problem I'm dealing If you're gone...” A duet in which both MC and Hunt are singing to each other. She thinks he’s mean; that he won’t give love a chance. Hunt, on the other hand fears for his job and what his peers would think if they knew he had captured the heart of a student of his. But how can something so wrong when it feels oh-so-right? ---

6. Have You Ever? – Brandy “Have you ever had someone steal your heart away, You'd give anything to make them feel the same? Have you ever searched for words to get you in their heart, But you don't know what to say, And you don't know where to start.” A song that MC listens to on repeat, the words fitting her situation just perfectly. When the person she desires is fighting his own feelings, he pushes her away and tells her that he doesn’t feel the same. Unbeknownst to her, he’s saved her a spot already but won’t admit his feelings. ---

7. Dance With Me – Debelah Morgan “Baby look into my eyes, Let the music hypnotize, Let our bodies synchronize, One dance and you'll be mine.” As the dance floor fills with strange masked figures, surrounding MC and her dance partner in the form of her professor. All she wants to do is feel Thomas close to her. She’s sure he’ll fall for her tonight. ---

8. Something About The Way You Look Tonight – Elton John “With your smile, you pull the deepest secrets from my heart, In all honesty, I'm speechless and I don't know where to start.” Thomas feels himself falling harder for her every time he sees her. When she comes up as one of his “top students” invited back to his house for a dinner party, he finds that avoiding her is getting more and more difficult as the night goes on. There’s just something about the way she looks tonight that simply takes is breath away and letting her know, could risk everything. ---

MC tries to move on, to find someone who could be capable of reciprocate her feelings. But in the end she keeps coming back to the one person who could truly understand her. ---

10. Iris – Goo Goo Dolls “And all I can taste is this moment, And all I can breathe is your life. And sooner or later it's over, I just don't wanna miss you tonight.”

He doesn’t want her to leave when he finally reveals his true feelings for her. In the secrecy of his bedroom, he kisses her with all that he has. No other words needed but a simple kiss. It’s official: he has feelings for MC too and it’s such a magical moment. :) ---

11. Can’t Fight The Moonlight – Leann Rimes “There's no escape from love, Once a gentle breeze, Weaves it's spell upon your heart. No matter what you think, It won't be too long, ‘Til you’re in my arms.”

MC knows Thomas can’t fight his feelings for her for too much longer. With every moment they share and spend together, she begins to see small glimpses of the man behind the designer suit. She knows it’s only a matter of time until he surrenders his heart and his desires. ---
