like have you considered they've had nothing and everything but each other for 6000 years? they've only had each other, they're constants in each other's lives, and at the same time they have been able to indulge in music and sleep and food but not each other because it's too dangerous. they are all each other has and they can't have each other.

there’s an abandoned church in your town. nobody remembers when it was still accepting parishioners. the walls are crumbling and the stained glass windows lay in shards among the pews, but the pulpit is left untouched.

you hear a whistle in the night, and it sounds just like your mother. she’s calling you home for dinner. you shut the blinds and take your dog upstairs.
