"When someone is directing a film, they’re thinking about it every waking hour, and even processing it in their dreams. The problem is, if you’re a studio executive, you tend to think about it for 10 minutes on a Wednesday."

Flipping #Igetthebag by Gucci Mane into another song
Making Music
So it’s not that difficult to start really. All you need is an Idea and a laptop these days to get started. I just really started making my beats and found out that it’s not as hard as it seems. It just takes a little bit of effort and a lot of practice. I know i’m no were near where i want to be production wise, but i do know that i will not stop until i do. What i realized early on is that people will listen to anything (it could be a single loop played 30 times and people will still think that it’s dope). But it’s not until you start experimenting with your sound and start to create your own style that people are willing to listen to it. Another thing.... If you are ever stuck in the creating process, just think about all that has happened in your life and how you can use it to create something amazing. Anyways...
Peace

10 Most Expensive Mistakes Filmmakers Make
By Elliot Grove, Raindance.org: I have had the good fortune to meet and work with a great number of wonderfully talented and exciting filmmakers since Raindance started in 1992.
On top of that each year at film festival submission time, I have had the benefit of seeing hundreds of shorts, features and documentaries pouring into the Raindance Film Festivaloffice from just about every country…

Teach yourself the music theory if you're into producing...
In my opinion every producer should know the music theory. This is probably one of the most important tips I’ll give out. I been “producing” for about a decade now, the first eight years everything always sounded off. In my head I knew what I wanted to produce but, it was very difficult for me to compose what I had in mind. There’s plenty of places you can learn the music theory. My advice is to read books about the topic and read it a few times. Once you read the book you chose and memorize it try watching a few video tutorials. Once you have at least the basics down go back start producing again. I GUARANTEE YOUR MUSIC WILL SOUND BETTER. I have a few books on music theory ill eventually upload for ya.
Peace and love to you all.
