Before your feet lays a perfectly patterned set of yellow bricks. They form a road that stretches out as far as your eyes can search.

It has twists and turns It has side roads and cross overs It has smooth and bumpy patches It has intense inclines and steep declines And only One Rule... With every step forward The path will crumble behind you There is no going back There is no U-Turn or option to reverse.

All your given to protect ‘Soles’ and help guide you is a pair of Red Ruby Slippers.  They are not the most practical. Not the most comfortable Sometimes they open you up to hurt That causes cuts and blisters that leave you with scars

But what's so beautiful about it all, is how... The wounds that have left scars, will make you stronger. The difficult sections that test you, will make you wiser. The detours you take that end up getting you lost, will help your sense of direction improve. The hills that seem to never end eventually do, and the struggle from it, will restore and build the hope within. And the fact that you can never turn around - Means you only ever going forward.

Don't let anyone judge you for how worn out your Ruby Slippers are. It's not their ‘Soles’ that have been in them. You should always lend your ears to those that give advice, BUT don't let their opinions dictate your decision on where to turn next.

Take breaks and rest when you are weak and tired - Smell the roses along aside the road, or hide in the grass from the demons surrounding you. Respect for one's own healing process is vital to survival and just as important as moving forward!

However, don’t forget that going back is impossible, and hiding forever will not get you out of the patch you are currently in. Therefore take your time to process, understand, restore your energy and heal... Then, and only then... slowly... just put one foot in front of the other.

Don't let your past bad footing cause resentment, regret or gaps in your self-worth. The path that you have walked is, in fact, the same as the one before you - in the sense that - Your yellow brick road was already paved. There is no controlling the different conditions you have and will face.

The only thing you can control is; How you respond to the condition, How you allow it to impact you, and Whether you will allow it to weaken your armor or strengthen your will to fight more courageously.

Your Red Ruby Slippers were designed to carry you along this yellow brick road that was already concreted and set before you. So don't lose faith in them, No matter how worn out they may get... They will always get you through each piece. Respect them for they are what lays between your ‘soles’ and the harsh texture of the bricks.
