💔 Jo
[Red OC ask game]
💔 (broken heart) - Who has your character hurt most? Physically or emotionally? How did it feel? Do they regret it?
Jo is a bit of a kicked and rabid dog, but she isn’t the kind of person to really develop new relationships— she’s very slow to get attached to someone, regardless of if that's someone to take her hurt out on or someone to receive support from. So the people she’s hurt the most— often emotionally, she’s not a strong physical opponent— are the ones that she’s known for a long time. Namely Clohan and Fedalt.
With Clohan… they were genuine friends initially, but what positive feelings they had soured into a kismesissitude. Both did awful things to each other— Clohan saw himself as fundamentally dangerous, due to sapping the life out of everything around him, and Jo took this as an opportunity to get one over on someone lower than her. She verbally did a lot of damage to him, and they’d often physically go at each other for scraps, just to get the anger out between them. (One may note this is the same damn thing she does with Twelve.) They were still… close. It’s rare to go to your kismesis for comfort, but they were definitely codependent.
Jo avoids thinking about it. She was hurt a good amount in that relationship too, and she cannot handle the idea that she isn't purely the victim. She has major issues with black-and-white thinking; if she were to acknowledge that she was in the wrong, it would not be the accurate nuanced picture, but an incorrect inverted perspective, with her as sole irredeemable villain and Clohan as perfect innocent.
Fedalt is constantly playing therapist and second fiddle to all of Jo’s other relationships. Jo does genuinely love her a lot! but she gets tunnel vision. And Fedalt is just constantly aware that he is both incredibly disposable to everyone around him yet not allowed to leave. And of course she has complexes about this.
Jo... is not exactly aware of this, and gets incredibly insecure when it's pointed out to her. Naturally, this means that neither of them really enjoy directly discussing the issues of their relationship, and as a result, it just keeps rotting.
