FRANCIS: I have faith that France can withstand the temporary absence of troops as well as the cost in gold to send them. Let our enemies observe this display of French power.

QUEEN CATHERINE: Why would you do this after such a betrayal?

FRANCIS: I said my decision was final. Leave us, Mother.

MARY: A poisoned Bible, are you sure?

NARCISSE: We tested it ourselves. The question is: who poisoned it?

FRANCIS: Yes, that would be the question. Thank you, Narcisse, for pointing out the obvious. And would you stop doting on my mother.

Lily Sparks: “Meanwhile, at the Court of Fronce’s Winter Formal, Conde and Francis finally had words. Conde told off Francis for hiding behind Mary and told him to take off his little fur cape and let his fists do the talking for once, and and suddenly Francis had pulled two walking sticks out of nowhere and suddenly I was witnessing the most passionate staff fight since two Gandalf cos-players at Comic-Con went for the same jalapeno pretzel......

Meanwhile, Mary and Francis made a small repair to the giant gaping hole in their lives where their relationship used to be: Mary admitted they were trapped in the context of their time, and like every time before it wasn’t super lady-friendly, and Francis was like, “All I ask is that I can stand here and watch you sleep Edward Cullen-style,” and Mary was like, “Deal.” So there’s hope, guys.
