So much has happened since my last post, but i wanted to explain something about the RP my hubby and I do.
Because, it's a lot of improv. Not the same kind of improv as comedy, but more akin to that of a play, where there's guidelines, and ideas floating around, and you get to figure it out together.
I know that might sound daunting to some people, and I felt the same starting off, but it helped me explore my voice, the accents I can try, the characters I can be, even having some return, and even come into the romantic and supportive side of the relationship.
It helps the connection I have with him flourish, and I'm forever grateful he convinced me those first few times. Although, sometimes we get into the habit of only doing the roleplay scenes, and it takes conscious effort to take some timr to be intimate without those characters acting as masks, or vehicles for fantasies or fears.
I wish more people were willing to consider this to help heal their view on sex as something *personal*, not functional.
