That’s how it worked right? With dreams and that junk? Shoot high and keep trying, and you’d make it one day! Even if trying meant going to some lengths that seem impossible, and in a way, are impossible. Kind of like reaching the stars, though that technically wasn’t impossible for Ben. He’d been to those and back.
He didn’t really get this guy’s whole negative attitude, and the boy figured he’d try to cheer the kid up with some motivation. Even something as cheesy sounding as what he said.

In what world would that make sense? Certainly not his own. And he doubted this one, too. Needless to say, despite the other boy’s efforts, Zeon was still thoroughly unamused and very much doubted that wouldn’t be changing soon.

A thought:
As of the OV series finale, Ben doesn’t know about Malware surviving the events of Malgax Attacks.
Malware is currently somewhere near Galvan Prime, close enough to Vilgax’s ship that he can get to it and take control of it.
Basically we could’ve gotten Malware using Vilgax’s equipment and weapons and drone army during a road trip series post-OV, completely blindsiding Ben and giving them the emotionally-charged rematch we were expecting from Malgax Attacks.
