"He likes you," Hans promised. "I promise. He's just trying to show respect. If he didn't like you, he'd have left Arendelle by now. Probably taken me with him, too. Not as dramatic as a snowstorm in summer, but effective..." Hans chuckled at his own joke. "If you want to get to know Hansel better, just talk to him--but not while he's busy. Take a note of what he's reading, then question him about it after he's put it down. He'll appreciate that you thought to ask!"
"That seems almost too simple." She smiled though, and filed it away for future reference. Next time she spotted Hansel with a book, she'd definitely try that out. There was no reason not to try every little tip she was given. She just hoped that he wasn't always reading something too dull, or she'd have zero interest in the conversation that followed her forced question...
"But if you say so, I'll try it. You know him best, after all." Secretly, Anna wondered if Hans knew just how lucky he was, to have at least one sibling in a sea of them who loved him.

Send me “Christmas List ” and I’ll List 3 Things My Muse Wants for Christmas
{♔} —- Of all their many brothers, Hans knew that his twin was the only that would give him a gift. Well, a genuine gift, at least–the others might wrap their old socks in festive paper, but that joke wore thin ten years ago. Now most of them were fathers, and generally content to ignore the twins on Christmas day.
Hans wondered if he and his brother would keep their old traditions, now that they, too, were grown. Would they still exchange gifts in their pajamas? Would they count to three in perfect unison, and tear open their presents at the exact same moment?
He supposed those questions would come later. For now, his twin was still waiting for an answer.
“I’d like something from your travels,” Hans said at last. “It could be anything, a… a book, I suppose. I don’t know. Just… something that reminds you me, when you’re away.”
Hans never wanted to be a sailor–his fires simply didn’t mix with open water. But he didn’t begrudge Hansel’s voyages, nor discourage his dreams of becoming an Admiral. All Hans wanted was to know that he wouldn’t be forgotten.
“But if nothing strikes you… Maybe you chart a map for me. All the places you’ve been, and all the places you plan to go. Then I can follow you in my mind, even if I can’t go in person…”
A third gift. Hans glanced away, casting around for ideas.
“I don’t know. I’m sure you’ll think of something. I always like what you get me… As long as it isn’t socks.”
"I'm...Hans. Hans. I just had. A GREAT IDEA. I'M RICH NOW! I can do any...anything..ANYTHING.......that I want. I can CLONE YOU. So I can fuck TWO OF YOU. AT THE SAME. TIME. I CAN DO THAT NOW, RIGHT? AND IT'S BASICALLY JUST LIKE MASTURBATION FOR YOU ANYWAY. SHUT UP I'M NOT DRUNK GIVE ME BACK MY CHOCOVINE!!!!!!"
You and princeharmless are amusing to watch, I would've told you this on IM but I figured the other party just deserves as many props, so here, have an ask.
They’re the only Hans who does this ridiculousness with me and I love it. Canon Elsa & Hans and their sass is so much fun, but Elsa is really mean to him and she needs to just stop it.

All these years, and Anna had never even considered the wild possibility that Elsa wasn't simply shutting her out to be cruel- but that there was a supernatural reason behind her decision to hide away. With such a brand new piece of information to digest, Anna's mind opened to magic, to the possibility of things beyond understanding or reason, and she attempted to chase after her sister when the coronation reception had been cut short by daggers of aggravated ice.
Luckily, before she could get too far, Anna caught her elder sibling and begged for answers, for calm, for understanding and – even a short time – forgiveness. Elsa had no choice but to turn and face what was in front of her, raining down from above, all around her: snow. The air took on a biting chill and flakes began to fall from the sky as she and Anna had tried to 'talk it out' while walking back and forth among frightened townsfolk of Arendelle.
It hadn't gone well.
Elsa locked herself in her room, determined not to come out, ever again, lest she be lynched by a mob of her own terrified people. Little did she understand that the more she hid away, the more mysterious and dangerous she became in the frantic and distressed minds of the commonfolk. Twice now Anna had stood at her door, pleading and begging and bartering until she was left frustrated and hurt. Why was nothing changed? Why must everything end in closed doors and silence?!
Hans- her fiancee, no matter what Elsa's denial of blessing meant now- had been a supporter through it all. While the people of Arendelle grew frantic and upset as Anna went time and time again to talk to her sister, Hans did his best to lead, to calm them down, to assure them that 'Princess Anna will find a way'; and she fully expected to. She just...didn't know exactly how.
With a tired and agitated sigh, the princess stepped back into the parlor, where the dignitaries and guests of importance were still gathered to shelter from the cold outside. Nobody was prepared, or even dressed, for such a winter smack dab in the middle of a summer coronation. She waded through the mumbling and squinting of the Dukes and Lords and Duchesses, awkward and uncomfortable in the attention she had always wanted, but not like this. They whispered and plotted and judged, and she knew none of it was in healthy spirits. People were beginning to wonder if she was a monster, too-
The Duke of Weselton certainly thought she was...not that his opinion mattered much, but his influence did, and if anyone took him seriously...well, she had no idea what his standing was. Honestly, she had no idea who any of these people were, or how important they were, or how well-liked and affluent they were. She wasn't supposed to have to know that, it was Elsa's job. Here she was, though, in a room full of people the likes of which she'd dreamed someday of making merry with- expected to represent her Kingdom when she knew she could not.
“Oh- oh, sorry, sorry,” she had bumped right into Hans' back, too distracted with her thoughts to realize that the man she had been looking for was right in front of her now. “I, um...tried again. No luck. She's...really upset, I think.”
Not that I would know- she won't say anything but 'go away, Anna' anymore.
