Pop music as gender theatre
Dorian Electra is one of those artists who is as interesting to look at as they are to listen to. Their music lives somewhere between hyperpop, performance art and camp spectacle, but the visual world is just as important: pastel hair, theatrical makeup, futuristic fabrics and a constant remix of gender codes.
