PRHBTN
by Dragon 76
Originally from Shiga, Japan, Dragon76 moved to NY in 2016 where his work continues to address themes of "the coexistence of two opposites such as past and future, stillness and motion, evil and justice." In Lexington, Kentucky, PRHBTN celebrates once criminalized public murals and street art and over the past decade has produced more than 40 murals. In 2017 PRHBTN invited Dragon76 to paint two new pieces. This one can be found on Legacy Trail just off W 6th St, behind West Sixth Brewing and next to Bluegrass Distillers.

"MOONSHINE"
by How & Nosm
Identical twins Raul and David Perre, aka How & Nosm, were born in Spain but grew up in Germany where they began writing graffiti in their teens and refined their skills painting trains. Now circling the globe creating their distinctive work the two feed off of each other's ideas almost wordlessly, finishing each other's sentences as well as their art. How & Nosm's almost whimsical figures seem friendly at first, but when you begin to explore the complex red and black compositions you often discover dark, layered narratives. Since 2011 artists have gathered in Lexington, Kentucky for the annual @PRHBTN celebration of a long-marginalized art form, and in 2014 How & Nosm added "Moonshine" on W Short St. @hownosm/

“IT WAS A BEAUTIFUL MOMENT WHEN THE LITTLE GIANT WOKE UP TO SEE WHERE DREAMS COME FROM”
by Herakut
“Recent studies have found a strong correlation between downtown revitalization and art, therefore, it definitely seems as if Lexington is moving in the right direction.” —Bricks + Mortar
It’s now six years since the German duo of Jasmin Siddiqui, aka Hera, and Falk Lehmann, aka Akut, made a stop in Lexington, Kentucky where the @PRHBTN festival continues to change the face of the city. Creators of hauntingly beautiful storytelling images, @StreetArtNews reports that the two murals Herakut painted in Lexington were installments in a children’s book project. The second of those is this work on N Limestone in one of the city’s new artistic hubs. Inevitably the highly visible work raised the usual questions about both the relationship of street art and neighborhood revitalization, as well as when art should be installed on historic properties. @herakut @hera_herakut @akut_herakut
