First Realisation of Love

It’s really just a run-of-the-mill sort of day for Imekaari, Io and Lace both don’t have any field missions which means he’s got the day free to work on his own research. He loves days like this, where he can expand on his ever-growing self-taught field. It’s amazing how little research had been done on necrotic healing before he thought to give it a try but he’s but quite the small impressive library on the subject now.

He’s simply adding some small annotations to his most recent notes when suddenly someone walks through the door he’d left open to his study. There’s a soft knock at the doorframe, Imekaari looking up to see a particularly nervous and excited looking Lace in the opening.

Before Imekaari can even ask what they want to talk about Lace blurts out, “I love you!”

There’s a long pause in the room and Imekaari freezes completely. Did...did Lace just say one of the words they requested no one ever say around them...? He stares at them completely dumbstruck until they suddenly speak up again.

“Okay, I’m going to go tell Io now too bye!” They rush their sentence and run off even faster. Oh, so it was a friendship love. Imekaari’s heart rate slows down at the realisation and he smiles to himself at the progress Lace has clearly made.

And then his heart rate picks back up and he sets his head on the desk with a deep sigh. Because in that split moment before finding out it was about friendship he’d realised he loves Lace too.

Looking at Bodacc, she really doesn’t look like much. Just your average asura, kind of on the tall and lanky side of things. Her name seems pretty normal, she’s a very accomplished elementalist who focuses primarily on machinery, she’s a very friendly and open person.

The one thing she’s bad at is being an asura. And that’s why she’s once again walking away from a group of asura, trying to hold back her tears until she’s out of sight. The sound of their teasing and jeering follows her all the way to a spot that feels private enough, and she breaks down sobbing.

She doesn’t know why it keeps going like this, she just wants to be a part of the society she’d missed out on. She wants asuran friends to discuss dynamics and synergetics with, she just wants to belong where the rest of them do.

“Hey,” a gravely yet soft voice starts up behind her, “are you doing okay?” Bodacc turns and wipes her eyes quickly, sniffling a bit as she tries to calm down enough to speak to the charr peeking her head around the corner.

“I just...” Bodacc sniffles again and a sob catches in her throat before she can say any more. The charr quickly walks over and picks her up, hugging the asura tight against her fur.

“It’s alright sweet girl. You’ll find better friends one day.” She can feel tears soaking through her fur as Bodacc finally manages to speak around her crying.

“I just want some of them to like me though! Why can’t I be a part of my own culture? Why don’t they like me...?”

asdfghjl Joko 100%. She’s got weird mixed feelings about him, and Dedre in general (to me) isn’t fully Dreamer.

3. A class you’re awful at playing

mesmer..... i can’t completely figure out how to play it efficiently, rip. i just have such a thing for the pretty, sparkly, shiny particle effects, so i WANNA play mesmer, but IDK i just suck at it. still love the portals though

14. When did you start playing?

originally, when it first came out--five or six years ago, right?--but it was on someone else’s account, and i could only play it when i visited them. i wasn’t super interested in it at the time, so i stopped playing it and then picked it up again just four years ago, and ive been playing ever since!

25. Who do you play with?

a couple people! sometimes haha--i prefer to play alone usually, but i convinced one of my best friends @luxaleigh​ to try it through the free to play feature and right during halloween (that’s how you get em), and she fell in love with it, so we play together a lot. i also play with my mom sometimes because she also plays! but i do like playing with other people i know so hmu if you play and you wanna do dungeons together cuz that shit’s getting harder and harder to solo tbh

How did they they meet?

Jioro signed up for the Vigil who’d agreed to give her a grant to study and dismantle the rogue Steam Creatures after Scarlet was defeated. Laranthir is the Vigil member who would regularly check in on her and pick up her reports for her sponsor.

Who developed romantic feelings first?

Laranthir did. Jioro was pretty impersonal at first but over the course of several visits he got to see a bit of her enthusiasm for her work under her social awkwardness. She’s incredibly kind and smart.

Who is their biggest “shipper?”

Roanna I think? I’d have to double check with @ascalonianpicnic​ but I think she’s a bigger supporter than Aqun by a bit just due to more outward enthusiasm and not being a hardass.

When did they have their first kiss and under what circumstances?

The two were saying goodbye after their second date, and before Jioro stood up and out of reach after a hug Laranthir took the chance to give her a quick kiss.

Who confessed their feelings first?

Laranthir, who decided one day to just take the chance, and got lucky that Jioro did feel the same way.

What was their first official date?

Just a simple dinner date. The two stuck to a small town since Jioro hates busy cities, and stopped in at a local pub for some nice warm food in the mountains.

How do they feel about double dates/group dates?

It’s a hard no for Jioro. Laranthir wouldn’t mind, but respects her comfort levels.

What do they do in their down time?

When Laranthir has a break from work he likes to visit Jioro’s workshop and simply watch her go about her day. He usually brings her lunch or takes her out for a meal when she’s done for the day too.

What was the first meeting of parents as an official couple like?

Laranthir met both her real and her sort-of parents. Meeting her biological parents was great, they got along splendidly. Meeting hr sort-of parents, Aqun and Roanna, was more stressful simply because Aqun is so picky about who she likes. But it went smoothly all the same.

What was their first fight over and how did they get past it?

It was over something small, when they’d both been tired and stressed from work. After a little time alone the two of them settled down and sorted it out no problem.

Which one is more easily made jealous?

Jioro would be. But neither is too easily jealous since they both know they come first for each other.

What is their favourite thing to get to eat?

Anything that’s a big meal they can split~

Who’s the cuddly one? What their favourite cuddling position?

Laranthir is! He loves when Jioro holds him since he only comes up to her stomach.

Are they hand holders?

They definitely are.

How long do they wait before sleeping together for the first time? What’s the circumstances?

It’s a good month or so before they do, Jioro moves slow. One night after dinner Laranthir asks her to spend the night and she agrees.

Laranthir does the shopping and they both cook!

Laranthir is by a landslide (which is what Jioro’s workshop looks like it’s been through)

Years down the line Laranthir would, and Jioro would say yes.

Do they have joined Bachelor/Bacheloette parties or separate?

Jioro wouldn’t have a bachelorette party but Laranthir would have a small bachelor party.

Aqun and Roanna would be Hioro’s maids of honour. Laranthir would have his closest friends on his side (who idk yet oops)

Big Ceremony or Small?
