I watched The Gang Broke Dee again and now I'm thinking about how Dennis spends the entire episode trying to help Dee. Like he's insulting and horrible about it of course but he's actually right. He was right that the gang was lying when they gassed her up and he was right that the crowd was laughing way too much and he was right that she shouldn't have been sleeping with the agent. He knew it all didn't smell right but he didn't know why. So he tries to tell her this and find her a man instead because that's the only real solution to self-loathing in his mind. He knows Dee is hating herself and when he hates himself he has sex. And in the end he gives up and throws himself at her and shows more emotion towards her than he ever has before. and he does it weirdly and incestuously because he is fucked in the head but his humiliation afterwards makes it seem genuine. The guys had to also prank Dennis in order to prank Dee because in spite of the fact that he only shows it in harmful demented ways Dennis actually does care about his sister
