You can't really prepare for most of what happens in life. You learn to deal with it as it comes up. You think you're preparing for it when you worry about every scenario that pops into your mind, but your anxiety can't predict what's going to happen next. You have to develop trust in yourself and in your ability to process it, work it out, and move through it. That's really how you "get ready" for the next one and the next one.
