Prepare For The Storm! Did Epictetus see into the future too? Storm Eunice is battering away in the background as I read today’s entry. The wind is roaring through the trees. 60 mph. I started a thing this week. Recording every time I had a verbal mini rant to myself and every time I ran a negative scenario though my mind of what ‘could happen’. A bad habit that I got into from living on my own for many years is to have mini rants, exclaim out loud or call myself names when I have an accident or do something stupid. It’s a bad habit to have and I’m working on stopping it. I’m averaging about 10 rants a day which is ridiculous. 😵💫 The negative thoughts are easier to control and to be fair to myself I have worked on those for the last two years during the pandemic. I’ve only slipped up once on that this week. I’m not documenting this on here for praise. I’m doing it openly so that it’s harder to hide from. It’s an admittance. It’s out there. I’m not quite the person in the street, chuntering away to myself or randomly shouting out loud so don’t be afraid 🤣 #thedailystoic #epictetus #prepareforthestorm #positivevibes #positivewaves #metalhobbit (at Birmingham, United Kingdom) https://www.instagram.com/p/CaHTkQSrQd7/?utm_medium=tumblr
