I did a talk for incoming medical students today, and it was fantastic. In the middle of all the stress that is the pandemic and political unrest it was nice to talk to people who are excited about life and medicine.

6/100 Days of productivity Had back to back lectures from 8am and I was so damn exhausted I just wanted to sleep forever😭 but still I managed to push myself and get these flashcards done 😁
P.S open for a better quality pic(´・_・`)
Week 03/30
When you're just a highly caffeinated dumbass who’s also just highly exhausted to bother with taking nice studyspo pics.@_@
Yikes - how quickly time passes when you’re having an existential breakdown.
quick catchup:
I have taken the MCAT, more than once, not done fantastic, but my test taking anxiety really gets the best of me in that scenario. Willing to take it again, but I am definitely coming up on the limit of times you’re allowed to take the test (isn’t that silly that they have a limit now on how many times you can take it??)
I have finished all bare-minimum requirements for a non-science major to take and apply. Considering taking biochemistry if this application cycle doesn’t work out for me.
which brings me to number 3.. I have officially applied to medical school (just reading that makes my stomach twist) It has definitely been a long road to get here, but something clicked last month while I was trying to defend my decision to put it off for another year with an attending physician I work with, and their tough love approach definitely work. Just fucking do it. See what happens. Try again. I’m no longer in my early 20′s and it’s time to stop being so damn anxious and put all of this hard work I’ve done to use.
So here I am... 3 days out of submitting my applications to DO/MD programs. Currently waiting for one letter of recommendation (GRR the most IMPORTANT letter, of course it’s the last one in and the only one with problems getting submitted) and awaiting verification. Going to come back to this as a vent throughout the process.
