Dr. Prem Reddy completed his residency training in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease at the Down State Medical Center, S.U.N.Y. in Brooklyn, New York. In 1981, he moved to California and established his medical practice in the High Desert area of Southern California. Dr. Reddy is double Board-Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiology.

He was awarded the honor of becoming a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (“FACC”) and a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians (“FCCP”). During his 25 years of practice in the High Desert, he was committed to serving his patients. He performed more than 5,000 cardiac procedures, including coronary angiography angioplasty, and permanent pacemaker implantations.

Dr. Prem Reddy, Chairman, President, and CEO of Prime Healthcare, was honored with the inaugural Human Values Award at the Global Leadership Forum held by the World Forum for Ethics in Business in Washington, DC. This accolade acknowledges Dr. Reddy's outstanding dedication to community healthcare and the core human values that encapsulate his life's endeavors.

Dr. Reddy and Kavitha Bhatia, MD, President and Chair of Prime Healthcare Foundation, received invitations as distinguished leaders to the Global Leadership Forum. They were recognized for their steadfast commitment to leadership characterized by values such as integrity and compassion.

The forum brought together over 1,200 invited leaders from successful business, government, and international institutions worldwide. The focus was on discussions about incorporating ethics and humanity into the corporate world. Notable attendees included former Prime Ministers of Norway and New Zealand, former Secretary-General of the United Nations Ban Ki-Moon, esteemed professors from Harvard, Yale, and Stanford, sports leader Christoph Daum, and representatives from cutting-edge companies like Microsoft. All participants expressed a shared commitment to leading with compassion, promoting peace, and fostering unity.

During his acceptance speech, Dr. Reddy conveyed, “With passion and unwavering determination, I embarked on a mission to create a healthcare system prioritizing the values embraced by physicians: quality, accessibility, and compassion. I accept this award not only for myself but for every immigrant who has dared to dream, every physician striving to make a difference, and every business leader and entrepreneur dedicated to improving the lives of others.”

The award presentation took place at the World Culture Festival, organized by The Art of Living Foundation in collaboration with the Office of the Mayor of Washington, D.C. Over one million people from around the world participated in the three-day celebration of peace.
