PLACE TALKS is accepting proposals for the next season!

Applications are due January 15, 2016 at 11:59pm. 

We are looking for six Bay Area people to make visual lectures about location, using content from the Prelinger Library’s rich collection. Thanks to a grant from Southern Exposure’s Alternative Exposure, all selected speakers will receive a fee.

I’m pleased to announce PLACE TALKS, a series of visual lectures about location that will take place at the Prelinger Library in San Francisco this fall, presented by me!

On select Thursday evenings this fall, Bay Area people (artists, writers, architects, archivists, librarians…) will give presentations on place-oriented topics of their choice, using inspiration and imagery from the Prelinger Library collection. Each evening of talks will be preceded by open public browsing hours.

Thursdays — Open library hours at 5pm, lectures at 7pm All talks are free and open to the public!
