Propaganda for General Prelim Poll 2
Karina Lyle a.k.a Blue Rose (Tiger & Bunny) :
Karina is a super hero with the alias Blue Rose.
"Viola" is the Latin and Italian word for "purple" or "violet", as well as a type of string instrument. But the purple is a good reference to the purple game theme. Plus, her lipstick and eye makeup is purple and she has purple highlights in her hair.
Gandalf the White (Lord of the Ring) :
Teresa "Tessa" Testarossa (Full Metal Panic!) :
"Testarossa means 'red hair' in Italian."
"Nui! is a Toy Story like story about plushies, if they are loved enough they come to life. If they are loved even more they can become human for a short while. Those with living plushies know that they are alive and tend to bring them everywhere, or the plushies will do it themselves. It's an really adorable manga but doesn't shy away from dark subjects."
Mark Grayson (Invincible) :
Martha Blackburn (The Wilds) :
Rachel Green (F.R.I.E.N.D.S) :
"In the beginning of the series she really was half-baked, in the sense of still quite wet behind the ears. I don't know if you say "still green behind the ears" in english as well. If yes, what a fitting last name!"
Shen Qinquiu (The Scum Villain's Self-Saving System) :
"Look. Look. Technically he doesnt have the name of a color. BUT! BUT!!! IN his name there IS a color. I mean. His courtesy name is 清秋 Qīngqiū. Now, qing is clear and qiu is autumn. EVEN SO, if you look at how qīng 清 is composed you'll find on the right the character 青 qīng, which, yes, is a color. Why am i insisting on this? Bc shen qingqiu's character design is sooooo color coded you have no ideaaaa. And he is qing-coded. Qing is sometimes difficult to describe, but it gets translated with teal, cyan, turquoise, aquamarine, sometimes green or blue. Basically the color of a greenish lake (?). All his peers have qing in their name in the novel but he's the only one that got super duper color coded. Main character privileges i'll say."
