I really hope people will support Predator 5 (Prey 2022). It is starring indigenous first nations (played entirely by actual indigenous folks it seems.)
Dear gifmakers and fanartists, please treat this movie like you do with other monster movies. First nations do not often get that level of representation in the mainstream movies line ups. Online creators tend to be the life of diverse stories. It feels like it is worth checking out, hopefully it will be a good movie. It comes out August 5th apparently.
(To the people who think it won't be good and to the people who want to respond to this after it is released : Don't bother responding to this. I just don't care. I make this post to bring awareness because it feels important, not to hear opinions or essays.)

Sooo normally my husband and I go out to movies we like swagged out in merch to kinda enjoy the whole experience at the movies right? (We wore these really cool venom costumes to the premiere of venom 2)
I spent more money than I should have on some really cool predator shirts to wear seeing predator (prey 2022) to find out it's only coming out on hulu apparently

One thing I noticed while watching Prey a second time is that the feral predator is alone. We're all under the impression that he's supposed to be undergoing his chiva, but dont youngbloods do that in groups of three? And also, at least according to what I know, a chiva is only complete when a youngblood kills a xenomorph and marks themself with its blood. So what is he doing on Earth?

And my newest bit, coming up with the frufru. I imagine him as a teacher in his society. He's not quite old enough to be considered an elder, but he is an exceptional and wise hunter with a very level-headed disposition and is well respected. He has many children and has raised many hunters who command much respect of their own. All the bones on his design are meant to be ceremonial, and they arent very obvious in these sketches but he has the tails of Kiande Amheda (Xenos) tied to his two frontmost locs. His armor will feature a full amheda skeleton down the back, I just have to actually start working on it.
Dante
Dante and Ta'sa were both originally created bc i thought to myself "how would a yautja react to a human with locs?" IK locs arent milutary regulation but IDGAF LEMME HAVE MY FUNNNNNNN. Anyway, Dante is a medic and saved Ta'sa's life when his pod crashed into the desert in Nevada.
AHHH I FINALLY WATCHED ITTTTT. Ill say. i dont think it was the best of the pred movies, that still goes to The Predator (2018) BUT it was still an incredible movie. it was so exciting to watch, and seeing Naru at the end with the predators blood glowing on her face was powerul, all my hairs stood on end. 11/10, will definitely be watching again
