MUNDAY-QUESTIONS âHOW DO YOU RPâ EDITION
â: What is an AU, you really want to play with your muse?
WELL! Let me just say first off, I toss this particular muse into everything that I enjoy. Right now I am trying to figure out her bg for Full Metal Alchemist and Fairy Tail. But like creative side of AUâs? I have a few I suppose OvO.
Imagine, waking up one morning, rolling out of bed and going to your mirror thats in your room to check out how you look for the day only for your reflection to not be there. But instead, you are peering into anothers room. You think to yourself, nahhh must be a dream. And you ignore it and move to the next room with a mirror. And the image follows you there. Cept this time, theres something moving on the other side. Its a creature you only thought existed in stories. When they notice you, they are just as surprised and let out a scream before scrambling to a different area. It is there that you loose sight of them and your reflection flashes up on the mirror like its a normal day. You are convinced that its all in your head and proceed to go one with the rest of your day. Later on as you get home; you go to your room not expecting anything, that morning no longer on your mind until you look up after hearing a weird noise, only to see the same person you saw that morning looking back at you quite disgruntled. The gist of this AU is for the other to cross over to the others to save their life and protect them. That there are others that are made to do the same. Its a world of magic vs a non magic world that is geared to protect and mirror each other. But the non magic world has forgotten this. And something has threatened the balance of the two worlds. And the only way that it can be saved is for two to work together to fix it. It does mean that the one from the magic world would be the one joining the non-magic one.
I know I have more that I can list. But I have other AUs that I do for Sapph as well like Harry Potter, Avatar the Last Airbender, Naruto, Mystic Messenger, Pokemon, and Miraculous Ladybug! There are more...but i cant remember them lmao
â„: Are you selective, if yes, what makes you selective?
I can be selective. I have all my side rp blogs set up as semi selective only because there are people who do come to me to rp and have not actually checked anything out. Like rules and all that. But there are other times when they do and they start talking to me about an AU or something and I am trying to ask questions, I have been called rude, a bitch, piece of shit, etc. I tend to say okay, have a nice day and block them. All I really look for when rping is seeing how open the other person is to conversation. I totally get being shy and being self conscious about asking things, like hey, its been awhile since you last replied did you still want to continue with our rp(s)? (I am bad with that cause I feel guilty for asking lmao.) I have had people ask me to be a different character that not only do I have no muse for but would have never been able to come up with anything that would even be related to the character. I guess its just being pushed into uncomfortable situations that I tend to get more cautious with others. I will typically rp and plot with anyone, but that right there are the reasons I am so selective.
âŠ: What can âkillâ your muse/ your inspiration?
What kills my muse/inspiration for an rp sometimes really depends on the other mun. Sometimes when things keep getting pushed so most the attention is focused on their muse, or they keep dropping threads with me its a really big killer. Or even when it comes to plotting. I am typically one of those that loves getting into chat with the other mun and just plotting, even if it doesnât go anywhere. It gives me a sense of comfort with the other and lets me get to know them aside from just talking. I like making new friends after all.
However, something else that really kills my mood for all rp typically is when I am overloaded with stress and have to much going on. At that point all I really wanna do is hide under my covers and play my switch or some kind of game. It even effects my drive when it comes down to my drawing. Too much stress = a very tired mun that canât be creative. (sorry for rambling)
