#precarious fates

Gunner hadn't expected to be moved so suddenly. He may be undead and near impossible to kill, but he didn't have any heightened senses to know the man he'd protected wasn't human to begin with. If anything, his senses were far more dulled than any human's.

He was about to tell him not to fuss over his wound, but it seemed the other had already figured that out himself. With the bullet lodged in his body, there was minimal blood at the moment.

Myles sat with his sketchbook balancing on his knee as he drew. He was used to people looking on, but this was something else entirely. These eyes were looking quite intently, and they weren't focused on his sketches either. He'd noticed awhile ago, at first shaking it off, thinking he was just being paranoid.

He glanced over again. Nope, they were still watching him. He nervously licked at his lips. Why on earth was this vampire so interested in him? Didn't they normally dislike were-anythings?

Victor can't help the bit of a grin at the compliment. With how long he's been in his line of work, the novelty still hasn't worn off- those more well off always trying to boost his ego, hoping to get an appointment in his tight schedule. Sometimes they were just after a good time- considering his standing. With Talia, he just wasn't sure which she was after just yet.

"Oh am I?" He asked, obviously teasing, but in a more friendly manner.

"Professionally or recreationally?" Vic shakes his head, chuckling at his own joke. "Please, we're not in a professional setting. This isn't my office, Vic is just fine, Darling."

"Fine, next time I'll leave ya ta die, mate." He stood with his hands on his hips, looking about. "You n' all...." He counted loudly enough under his breath the piles of smoldering flesh. "Six... seven... oh... maybe that's two... Ten or so of em'?" He raised his brows.

"It's much appreciated no matter the reason~." He nods, oh so very pleased when the sparkling mineral water with far too many wedges of lime and lemon was placed in front of him, just touching the tips of his talons so he knew where it was set. "I'm absolutely parched." He found the straw, quickly sucking a good amount of it down.

"I assume you were here for the show?" Luxe asks, turning to face Lucas a little more, being polite, not that he would actually see much of him at all beyond a, what he assumed was a tall, darker toned man, that to him looked more like a series of blobs. He sure sounded cute though.

"Why now?" Alec asks, one of his floppy deer ears twitching as he pouted. "What did I do?" Of course by now he knew he wasn't actually in any trouble, he was far past all of that paranoia, at least with Nathan.
