#praying!

Hi my sweet friend, thank you for reaching out on this! Yes, I will most certainly pray, and I hope you enjoy the beauties of this holy season as well 🫶🏻🫶🏻

As always, I encourage those reading along to pray as well.

Father God, I thank You for this day. I thank You for loving us and providing for us. I thank You for always being with us no matter what and for being for us no matter what.

I thank You for social media too. Even though it does bring its evils, there are benefits to it too. Like Your people being able to reach out and support each other despite the distances.

God, I come before You on behalf of my friend’s family member. God, for whatever reason, he is dwindling. He’s wearing himself out. There are things at work in his mind and heart that are being manifested in not taking care of himself. Lord, he needs You very badly, especially in this time of year where joy and hope and peace can feel like salt against wounds.

Father God, I pray You please make Yourself known to him. Comfort him and love on him as only You can. Give him the support he needs and bless him with the peace that surpasses all understanding.

Lord, You alone truly know what he needs and You alone know how to best provide. I pray You please do so, God. Send the right people, let the right words be said, let the right actions be seen, let Your love and mercy and joy permeate this person whom You love and treasure so dearly.

And be with my friend as well, Lord, for she worries for this family member whom she loves. God, her heart is in line with Yours, and she wants so very much what’s best for him, and she knows it’s You. Lord, I pray You give her peace and strength and wisdom. Guide her if You intend to use her, especially in this person’s healing.

We love You, Lord. Forgive us when we do not act like Your people. Help us to love and serve You and others better today than we did yesterday.

I have a prayer request please. I went to go donate blood today and was turned away due to really high blood pressure. This runs in my family, so while it’s not a big surprise, it’s still a concern. And the numbers are rather scary.

I thank God that this has been caught so I can take steps to take care of it, and I ask that you please pray that I can get into the clinic tomorrow and see the right person I need to see. And please definitely pray that I can get this under control and nothing more than taking medication comes out of this.

Funny how this comes up while I’m studying on the goodness of God, hm? Remind me to talk about theodicy sometime.

All the same, yes, I will pray for this person.

Father God, I thank You for this day. God, I thank You for loving us and providing for us. Thank You for watching over us and being with us always.

God, I come before You on behalf of this person. I don’t fully understand what’s going on, but You do, Lord, and I pray You please provide wisdom and grace and clarity and love for this precious child of Yours. I pray You find him where he is, and You please open his eyes to the truth of who You are and who he is and how he can be saved by You.

Thank You, Lord God, that he and anyone else who calls on You will be saved. Thank You, God, for such a great gift.

Spade my friend, here’s the deal. God doesn’t want fancy words, He doesn’t want a grand show, He doesn’t want you to recite things you think sound right.

He wants your heart. He wants your honesty. He wants you to talk to Him like you would a friend; He wants you to lay all your cards out of the table. He wants a sincere apology. He wants you willing to work with Him to change and grow. He wants you to commit to your relationship with Him.

You’ve only been a Christian for a few months now, and while I’m so incredibly thankful that you have become a Christian, growing closer to God and becoming more like Jesus is a process. It’s a daily process that requires a lot of grace and willingness to work and change and follow God’s prompting. That’s what we call progressive sanctification.

Once you’re saved, you’re always saved. Period. But learning to become a better person, a better follower of Jesus, a person more after the heart of God? That’s a long term process. But that’s okay because you’re in God’s hands, so you’re safe there.

Give yourself some grace. You’re learning. You’re trying. You’re going to mess up. I mess up daily. God is faithful and He is forgiving when we ask for help and apologize sincerely.

As long as you call on God and ask Him for help and lean on His love and grace and sincerely apologize and ask for forgiveness, He will help you work through the sins you’ve fallen into.

So talk to God. Be honest. Say “I’m sorry.” Tell Him everything you’re feeling and why. Honesty is a big part of a relationship, so talk to Him. He will answer you. Maybe not in the way you expect, but He always answers.

Father God, I thank You for this day. I thank You for Your love and grace and mercy and healing power. I thank You that You are the God who redeems and restores.

God, this world is so broken and deprived, and it is in desperate need of You.

I pray over these two teenagers, God, and I beg You for You to intervene on their behalves. I pray for healing of the mind, body, and spirit over such a terrible tragedy. I pray You lay Your hands on them, and You give them exactly what they need.

I pray for their families and friends who wait and watch and feel helpless and shaken and unsure. I pray Your peace which surpasses all understanding wraps around them. Hug them close and comfort them, Lord, as only You can. Please send them what they need as well.

Lord, I pray most especially for their families salvation of all involved. God, I pray they will come to know You as Savior and Lord of their lives if they don’t already, and I pray that those who do will lean heavily on You in the days to come.
