For those of you who have asked, I am safe and well. The shooting was less than 10 minutes from my home, but I currently am not in Orlando due to summer classes and my family is fine. However, a friend from middle and high school was involved in the shootings last night. He was shot in the stomach and the chest and that’s all that’s known. He was there with his girlfriend who was also shot. Please keep them both and their families in your thoughts and prayers as well as everyone else who was involved.
