I Tried Tuesday
I wrote this post: Show me the things that tell me you tried
So I wanted to share some of my things that I've tried. Things that have taught me something, or that I'm not very good at, but have enjoyed regardless.
This one is drawing again, which I'm really not good at. However, have you ever had imagery that stayed with you, months or even years after you read it? I want to share one of these. It's a very basic pencil drawing, of an image described in a Tolkien AU called Prayers to Broken Stone by @balrogballs
The broken door, under the rusting Urumis (Flexible brass swords, that are coiled over the lintel) was so vivid that I still see the broken teak door. The house in question was nicknamed the Mad House, hence my drawing title.
The shield I added, which I believe is called a paricha (Please tell me if that's incorrect). It wasn't in the fic, but I drew it to have the parallel to Tolkien's three Silmarils, which Fëanor created. AU Fëanor is who created and then mounted the swords.
This picture is part of my very human experience.
Feel free to share or make into a tag game if you wish. Show me the things you tried.
