āTruly I tell you, if you have faithĀ as small as a mustard seed,Ā you can say to this mountain, āMove from here to there,ā and it will move.Ā Nothing will be impossible for you.ā Matthew 17:20. . . This is one of my favorite verses in the Bibleā¦it is also one of the hardest ones to wrap my head around. As a little girl, I always wondered what it would look like if I actually went up to a mountain and told it to move. Would it really budge? It sounds a bit foolish, definitely childish, but Iām at a stage in my life now where Iām faced with the same question...only the āMount Everestā in front of me is not towering with rocks or ice, but is instead full of my own fears, doubts, insecurities, and large āwhat-ifā questions about the future. And in the face of that mountain, Iām honestly tempted to take the āyou of little faithā route, trusting and turning to all the voices that say āthereās no wayā or āyou canāt do it.ā . . But then there are moments when I canāt help but wonder what life might look life if I fully trusted in Godās power to do the absolute impossible; to cause this mountain to budge, to moveā¦to crumble. After all, isnāt this the same God who parted the Red Sea? Who opened the floodgates of heaven over all the earth? Who not only formed the first of mankind out of mere dust, but spoke the entire universe into existence? . . The truth is, Iām terrified. It is far easier to believe in Godās power and provision when Iām skirting around all the mountains, handing God the simplest, smallest, risk-free parts of my life. But to entrust Him with the more challenging, intimidating, deeply personal and defining moments/dreams/desires...do I have that kind of faith? . . āWith man, this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.ā . . #prayerjourney #mustardseedfaith #Hecanmovemountains #inmylife #inyourstoo #believer #dancer #ballerina #reachingtheimpossible #Heisable #notmywillbutyours #toGodbetheglory #allthingsarepossible #inHim #tbt
