So technically read your question wrong and thought you asked how they first met (thats my bad) but over time they just find that they have similar interests and are mostly compatible personality wise, also for your first question- it’s a part in MTMTE (I believe issue #10? I know it’s pretty early on) where Prowl blackmails him about spilling the beans on his dark past to Rewind and Chromedome reacts very normally and shadow plays him, the last splash page is inspired by Prowl’s perspective in that scene
And that “cow pattern” is just how I render windows/shiny things!
