TW: talk of weight, weight loss, weight gain, car accident, chronic pain, depression So in 2016 when I got in a car accident... I weighed 179 lb, was in less pain than now and could move around a lot better. After the accident from being limited in moving and mostly stuck in bed, I then gained weight and ended up weighing the most I have ever weighed: 285 lbs. It messed up my life. Work, seeing friends, drawing, walking, everything. Since my treatments: acu, chiro, massage, PT, and getting back to work I have managed to lower my weight. With portion control, watching my liver and sugar levels (celiac and pre diabetic) I have finally managed to lose 80 lbs. I am now 205lb and hope to get my body back so i can move around much easier and be in less pain. I am so proud of my progress, so I wanted to share. I never thought something like this would happen to me, but some things you can't predict... Like someone deciding to turn into you.. (on coming traffic) and dramatically change your life... Every time I'm in pain, I see the accident and am angered by her choice to turn... It messed me up financially and health wise.. Don't take your days for granted. If you're able to get out of bed today, that's a win. If you were able to walk to the kitchen to eat and make it back to bed that's a win, or if you don't have a bad thought for at least 30 minutes, that's a win, etc. Praise yourself for your wins no matter how small or big they are. Every step counts. #praiseyourself #weight #weightloss #weightgain #weightjourney #caraccident #chronicpain (at Gresham, Oregon) https://www.instagram.com/p/BofVtjih7iT/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=ium1uq2l80og
