I don't know if it's the change in weather or the amount of water I've been drinking, but the motivation to practice today was INSANE. Since finishing school and moving to Orlando (while working basically a full time job and living in an apartment with 5 other people) finding the time and energy to practice has been rough, along with also having any kind of motivation when I do have the other two. Today I feel like something just clicked and made me realize that since there is no endgame, no jury, recital, concert, or audition, I have the freedom to not only choose what I am focusing on, I also can focus on the things I ignored for those endgames. I shifted all my focus to the music on my stand instead of the techniques that can build me up as a musician. The 100 days of practice challenge taught how much I can accomplish when I work little by little, so why not try that again. Time to just work little at a time and make small goals, and most importantly KEEP MYSELF ACCOUNTABLE! I reached out to friends to help me out on the last part because in the past I've struggled with it, so here we go! .. .. .. #flautotraverso #flute #flûte #fluteplayer #music #musician #workhardplayhard #practice #practicelog #practicejournal #altus #altusflute (at Orlando, Florida) https://www.instagram.com/p/B8m5GnngHWq/?igshid=7kc9vk714icr
