My flute seems to have a bit of a loose valve. Sigh.
It's not loose enough to be a big issue, but something to watch out for with certain notes, as we realized during my lesson when some notes came out airy and fuzzy when the valve wouldn't close all the way. I have had this flute for three years, give or take, already, and at this point in my studies, I play a lot–a little wear and tear is expected at some point.
My teacher tried to fix it, but she was unable to reach the tiny screw–someone thought to put it in a place where it cannot be accessed without damaging the instrument like a mastermind. I'll probably have to send the flute out to a professional to get it fixed before my demonstration of skill concert in May, but the waiting times are bound to be long. Until then, I'll have to take care to put more pressure to a few certain valves to ensure the loose one does it's job.
Just stumbled on my old music from when I first started playing flute in band — and I got carried away for like 45 minutes ... It's so good to remember all of it
I just made a Discord Server for flute players!
