I've been trying to learn to bilocate and it's... working? Which is stunning, I've tried for years and recently have made a breakthrough and I feel stupid for it having taken this long; That's irrational, everyone learns to AP in different ways, but I'll get on with it.
Every guide and piece of advice I've read about bilocating reccomends that one flexes their visualization ability so one can get better at seeing things in the mind's eye. This has never been a problem for me, I've always had excellent visualization and a hyperactive imagination, I can close my eyes and picture things with immense clarity and in high detail. This makes the most common method of learning to bilocate difficult for me to do, because I can't trust most of the imagery I see, it's mostly my brain auto-populating my visual sense with information.
So, I've been trying something different: instead of focusing on my sight, I'm focusing on my hearing. I'm trying to "tune in" to any sound data coming from the astral plane, and I hoped that by doing so the visuals would come naturally since I'm already good at visualization. And it's working! I'm getting snatches of audio with visual data, my focus is currently easy to break unfortunately, but if I can remain focused I can get a second or two of a really clear first-person POV of the astral. Last night I was in an area of grassy plains with a few hills, it was quite lovely.
So, I hope anyone who reads this finds some inspiration, maybe it will be helpful.
