I'm surprised too, but positively so! I have always wanted PR teams to take more charge in situations like these and make a statement. It's a good statement too. He is taking accountability for the hurt this caused. Well done! 👏🏻👏🏻

The only thing i don't like about it is the "friend" speaking on his behalf to restore his character. This fandom doesn’t trust any of his "friends", they're the one's getting him into these situations in the first place...

They're good at breaking celebrity news very quickly, having strong entertainment- industry sources and reporting some major stories before other outlets. Like celebrity deaths, divorces, births etc.

The bad side is they focus heavily on celebrity gossip and scandals, using aggressive reporting tactics at times, raising privacy and ethics concerns, especially around celebrities and sensitive events and sometimes emphasizing speed and sensationalism over depth.

PR teams often use TMZ for unofficial statements. A publicist will provide background information, a tip, or a quote attributed to phrases like "a source close to the situation" or "someone with direct knowledge." TMZ then reports it as news rather than publishing a formal press release.
