We’ve had quite a few Macs coming in for recycling lately - and we are happy to take them! Today we have a #PowerMacintosh 6500/250, so named because of its 250 MHz #PowerPC 603e processor. Produced from 1997-98 the 6500 series used the same tower as the previous #PowerMac 6400 but differed in its higher CPU speeds, its graphics processor, and that it had no #RAM soldered to the motherboard, allowing for a higher memory ceiling (maximum of 128MB). With a 4GB #HDD and 12X #CDROM drive this was a highly coveted machine back in the day, but it didn’t come cheap - in 1997 it would run you around $2000 USD (roughly $2,750 CAD at the time).
