The human race has evolved quite drastically over the decades, to the point where “superpowers” are no longer just science fiction. They’re real. Those who are born with these powers are called “Metahumans,” and while a great majority of them are just trying to live their lives normally, the government has deemed them to be threats to society.

While the civil war wages on between the Rebel Army and C.A.R.M.A, there is third party living within Pansaw. Those who haven’t chosen a side are known as Loners. Typically Loners are younger, newly realized Metas, but they can also be Metas just trying to live a normal life and avoid the fight. Others within this category are more dangerous and wicked, and believe that Metahumans are the future, and create havoc amongst the city for fun.

In order to protect humans, the government set up a national organization known as the Collection and Rehabilitation of Metahumans Agency––or C.A.R.M.A, for short. Provided with the latest advanced technology and weapons, its purpose was to defend and protect humans from dangerous and rogue Metahumans while also collecting research and information on Metas through various experiments.

The Rebel Army was formed by Metas to retaliate and protect themselves against C.A.R.M.A. Led by their leaders, the three Novas, the Rebels take cover in a secret base underground. There, they train to hone their abilities and learn how to fight to survive and hide from the government.
