Saint James’ Episcopal Church and School are collecting Power Packs for F.I.S.H. Fauquier F.I.S.H (For Immediate Sympathetic Help) is an organization founded in 1983 which provides food to individuals and families in need throughout Fauquier County.
The power pack program is in collaboration with Fauquier County Public Schools to ensure at-risk children have access to nutritious food during the weekends, school holidays and snow days.
One Power Pack consists of: one gallon-sized Ziplock bag containing one non-perishable breakfast, lunch and dinner (3 meals total) and two snacks. Some suggestions are: Breakfast: oatmeal packet, small box of cereal Lunch/Dinner: box of macaroni and cheese, package of ramen noodles, mini can of ravioli Snack: fruit cup, apple sauce, pack of crackers, granola bar, microwave popcorn Collection will be January 4 – 31.
Collection bins will be staged outside the Parish Hall and our school doors. SJES Students can drop their donations in the service project area of the main lobby on school days.
