Being Jack Sparrowâs niece and going on adventures with him.
Youâd always dreamt of a life of adventure. You wanted to see the world and partake in the joys it had to offer. Life granted you the opportunity to do so after a surprise visit from your uncle. Youâd only seen him a few times in your life, but he always left an impression.
He was in need of a place to stay for a few nights. Your parents no longer lived in the house he recognized so it was your call. You agreed on the condition that he take you with him after he was rested up.
âSorry, love, but I fly solo.â
âThen you can fly solo on the streets.â
He pondered a moment, trying to scare you out of your idea. âIâve faced great, horrible beasties, armies of terrible monsters, and a man who has tentacles... on his face.â
âAnd yet here you are. If you can survive all of that, Iâm sure I could.â
After some debate, Jack agreed. He did try to sneak away without you, but you were prepared and werenât going to let him off the hook so easily.
Youâd heard that he had a knack for finding himself entangled in all sorts of hairy situations. You were surprised at how quickly it happened, though. You hadnât been gone more than a month before Jack found trouble at another port. You had to think fast on your feet around him and those he... associated with. A lot of people wanted to hit him with various sharp objects.
To his surprise, you were able to keep up with the shenanigans. The ability to narrowly escape harm or incarceration seemed to be a familial trait. Before you knew it, you had developed a reputation. It wasnât nearly as widespread as your uncleâs, but it was growing with each new interaction with others. And, true to your word, you survived any dealings the two of you had with the abnormal.
Your current course was to a castle treasury where a âspecial ringâ was being held. It was said to dispel enchantments, which would come in handy given the types of artifacts Jack was fond of and the creatures that sought him out. The two of you snuck your way inside and managed to grab the ring. It was a trap, of course, and after removing it from its stand, a series of bells sounded like an alarm through the castle. You hurried out, narrowly avoiding any guards you saw. Just when you thought you were in the clear, a set of them were waiting outside your not-so-secret entrance.
âShe did it.â
âHe did it.âÂ
You both tried to pin the blame on one another simultaneously. After sharing a quick glance, you took off running with a hoard of angry guards on your tail.
