Yeah I wondered as much. They’re very strange though. I’m reading up on them now for my essay on LA social movements and it seems their role is ‘absorb working class formations and hope we can contain them within our structures’ and they’ve been very good at that. Like it seems to like the main way that radical stuff has gone on in Venezuela and Bolivia is because their catch all parties were completely discredited and disintegrated, and that just hasn’t happened with peronism. Which is weird, because it was the Peronist party that carried out neoliberalism in the 90s? Like the massive social unrest was the nail in the coffin for all the other large social democratic/populist party systems, I wonder why it didn’t do in the Peronist party as well.

Most of those. It got off to a good start when I stayed up till 4am watching F1 practice, then slept till 12, then it went down hill again when I woke up to an automated rejection email, then that happened. Swings and roundabouts atm.
