escape the school WHEEEEEEEE 

THE WORLD IS DESTROYED, OH NO

everyone splits up into pairs - naegi and kirigiri try to find naegi's family (spoilers they're dead), fukawa and togami go back to the togami estate (spoilers everyone is dead), asahina and hagakure go to their respective homes and search for their families (spoilers they're dead)

((EXTRA BIG SPOILERS NAEGI'S SISTER IS ACTUALLY ALIVE BUT THEY DON'T FIND THAT OUT UNTIL LATER]]

also on the way to doing these various things, everyone runs into trouble of some flavor, some more serious than others

they meet back up and try to figure out what to do next

THIS IS A DANGEROUS WORLD - MUCH TOO DANGEROUS TO SURVIVE EASILY

they try to stick together for a while and learn more about what's happening, where they might be safe, etc (the city where hpa is is WRECKED though not every city is)

togami decides they're not doing enough and storms off to make his own plan to rebuild the world singlehandedly (this isn't exactly how it happens but it's close) (fukawa follows him)

they're split into those two groups for a while, everyone is hiding and running and miserable

after a few weeks they regroup finally

AT LAST THEY FIND ONE OF THOSE POCKETS OF RESISTANCE

they help those guys for a while

THEY LEARN ABOUT THE FUTURE FOUNDATION
