 Halloween has been gone already and soon Christmas will arive, a whole year has been gone and it feels like a couple of empty days, this brought me down as much as it brought a LOT of people down, I been sad for many reasons but the biggest one is the pandemic. Hope it all ends soon and I can have some good time again

The ancient Egyptians had a concept of the afterlife called “Duat” - the underworld. Duat was compossed of twelve areas and up to twenty-two gateways this likely means it was a map of the tree of death/Qliphoth (inverted tree of life) a Kabbalistic map depicting twelve spheres and twenty-two pathways that is accessed through a gateway in the tree of life called “Da’at” or “Daath”. The gateways of Duat were said to be protected by vicious Gods, monsters, spirits or demons. The souls of the dead have their Ib (heart) weighed against the feather of truth (Shu) on the scales of Ma’at in the hall of judgement Ma’ati, the impure souls had their Ib (heart) devoured by the monster Amut and were trapped in Duat as shades while the pure who knew the correct spells, incantations and rituals for safe passage and could answer that they had not transgressed the forty-two laws of Ma’at were allowed safe passage across Duat on the boat of the sun God Ra and disembarked in the paradise lands of Aaru. In order to assist the souls of the dead the ancient Egyptians created elaborate embalming, mummification and funeral rites complete with spells, charms and a life spent learning the secrets of Egyptian magical texts such as the book of the dead. A scene (depicted left) shows a dead soul being guided by Horus to the God of the dead Osiris to await final judgement.

I woke up at around 8:27AM and I told myself that I'd wake up in 30 minutes so I can get ready to head out to Meredith's house. Yeah, that could've gone better - I ended up sleeping until 10:59AM. At this I got up and felt really lazy and just ate breakfast. I told everyone that I'd meet up with them at Meredith's house later when they get back. I spent the rest of the morning playing my DS and browsing the internet, nothing special.

My dad had to go back to work about 30 minutes earlier, so Melodie came over and we were on the waaaay. Turns out that Meredith &co. were still in Brooklyn when we were near her house, so we went straight to the beach and contacted Neriel and Sharon. I got to wear my green sunglasses - even though they made me blind. Neriel came eventually and we all just messed around in the sand for a little more than an hour. We were getting really impatient and started playing lame games of pretend where we were like these space pirates in search of some treasure and ending up on planet Argon. I like how everyone showed up about 15 minutes later. 

The whole day went by really quickly, I'm not even sure what we were doing. Sharon and Amy arrived kind of late. We played a bit of VB, then Sharon started carving David's face in the sand. Then we both walked by the water and continued our game of Two Truths and a Lie. When we got back, David and Jimmy finished carving, or rather, sculpting out Sharon's face. Soon though, Sharon and Amy had to leave, but we managed to get a group picture before they did. After that, someone got a genius idea to bury Ira in the sand.

Ahahaha, he kept moving around 'cus of how he breathed. Everyone lost interest in poor Ira and moved on to digging these really deep holes while a handful of us went off to play volleyball in the distance. Emma was on a roll with her hits. TOO BAD SHE COULDN'T DO THIS IN GYM; and that we were at the beach and it was hard to receive. At some point, Reylyn found a syringe in the sand. x_x Later on, so did Ira. Aaaaghhh. So gross and it caused immense paranoia. I'm getting a blood test soon anyways - still. :[

The lifeguard lady blew her whistle at us and told them to get off. Ahaha.

Aah, and the day progress rather quickly. We played a lot of VB where we started singing random songs, then Ninja, then Red Rover. LOL. Omg, Red Rover was a lot of fun and a great way to end the day. The sky was really pretty, especially as we walked over to Meredith's house. We into this deli where a lot of people got drinks and Melodie bought people ice cream, I think. While we were waiting out side for them to come out, (David, Emma, Jimmy, Nikita, and Monica) this guido-ish guy told us aggressively to move aside and there was kind of a lot of tension. But then his friend came along and apologized. STILL, awkward moment. Along the way, we had to do some intense persuading to get David to come back with us, and then him and Meredith had to call his mom. He panicked and handed over the phone to Meredith, but it all worked out! Ahaha, I was actually really happy to have gotten him to come with us. 

At her house, David, Melodie, and I were comparing tans. The pizza guy came when the guys were outside trying to get the sand off them (he must've been confused when he saw them). Jimmy played this Naruto song on the piano and I had this total nerd-out moment when I was explaining where it played to Neriel and David. Soon we ate while watching White Chicks.
