&i found some photos of my grandparents
In my house, I have three different garbage cans with each their own use. One of them is the recycle bin (bottles, cans), the other is dry garbage (paper, containers) and the last one is for general food leftovers and whatnot. Anyways, as I opened the second bin to throw something out, I found some photos that my mom had apparently thrown away earlier. They were of my grandparents and she disposed of them because the photos weren't clear. The really bad part out of this was how she ripped them all before she threw them out, right down the middle, too. I don't know if she was venting out some rage or something, but at this point in time, these kinds of photos are really irreplaceable. Especially if one of the subjects is dead and the other probably won't be returning to the US, ever. Sure, they're not clear but if I were her I'd be treasuring them none the less, rare or not. Photos are photos. :D I think this pretty much gave me the extra shove to get a nice DSLR. I want to take a lot of photos of my friends and family so when I grow old and wrinkly, I'd be able to reminisce by looking at the crap photos I've taken back when I was younger and when I considered them to be stylish.
Anyways, here are the photos:
When I started to edit the first one (my personal favorite), it felt that the more I changed it, the more I lost within the photo. Like, there was a certain, nostalgia or delicacy that just left.
I couldn't recover the other half of the one above. They all look really creepy, especially with the rips and colors. Ahaha. ;D 100% unedited. I just scanned and resized.
/Funny story. The photos, in real life, are not only torn, but a bit wrinkly, too and not because they're old. After I pulled them out of the garbage bin, they were dusty. Clever ol' me decided to wash them. I didn't realize what I was doing until I was holding them under the water. .___.
