it’s a one-shot with good build-up to the smut. the character interactions between mihawk and reader are fun. im fond of how the fic portrays mihawk’s bluntness and intensity. there are also these small, unspoken gestures he does that i find very sweet.
“horny, scared, and intrigued” is a good way of summing up reader’s feelings and honestly that’s the best kind of mihawk x reader fic imo.

i have conflicting opinions on how easily mihawk would get jealous in an established relationship.
on one hand, it makes sense for him to not give a shit because he's just that confident in himself and that no one else can compare.
on the other hand, it also makes sense that he'd get easily annoyed and jealous if someone tried to hit on his s/o because he simply does not like people or trust them.
now that i think about it both things can be true to an extent 🤔

i headcanon that mihawk's eyes slightly glow in the dark and has decent night vision. if the moon's out at night, he considers that well-lit enough and doesn't bother turning on any lights since he's memorized the layout of all the rooms in his castle. he gave zoro heart attacks several times when he saw a dark figure with glowing eyes wandering in the kitchen and the wine cellar.
