poor clark js wanted to have a normal conversation on his lunch break

After Randall broke up with Hershel at the end of year 12 and moved down south to Brighton, Hershel found himself in a more fixated state trying to get his life together. going to the same uni as randall, following the same career path, living in the same town or even house was all out the window. Hershel tried not to blame hismelf or get mad at Randall but the prom photos of him and Randall just irritated him to no end. he didnt deface the totally though, only a few crosses and throwing them in a box at the bottom of his other things he had when moving in with his uni roomate, Clark. (hershel went to uni at 19, same as clark n all that) blah blah blah layton and clark start dating in their second year of uni then break up 2 months later cuz they realise theyre not cut out for eachtoher (very clean break up dw). clark finds brenda when hes ~21, turns out she was one of Hershels old co-workers from an old cafe summer job he worked when he was 19, brenda was basically a sister to hershel during those 2 months herhsel gets his teaching job at gressenheller as a history (☝️ not archeology) professor (and i have NO idea what to do w the claire situation (i made hershel gay..... sorry.....)) fast forward to the equivalent of spectres call placement. clark reaches out to hershel after years, luke is a wee babby (obssessed w minecraft). blah blah blah hershel becomes a sort of uncle to luke whilst brenda and clark do whatever (still figuring that out) herhsel babysits luke n all, he lets luke use his old xbox 360 for minecraft (luke says he "prefers it to modern minecraft") n lo and behold, stupid comic comes to play and i have another idea! a week later, on friday when hershel gets off work, he pops into an out of town bar for a couple drinks to shake off the hectic work week and who comes through the door as hes one drink down? Randall freaking Ascot, completely different. (farmer randy is still real dont you worry) and...... get this..... they might be gay again
