A Brighter Summer Day

Welcome to the “un”official blog of NRC’s one-and-only Mountain Lovers’ Club. We’ve set up this space at the request of our school’s Headmage, who politely asked* to see “sustained evidence” of our club’s accomplishments.

Bad Religion - I Want to Conquer the World

This isn’t the first song I put on one of these mixes, I’m not sure what is but I think it was ‘The Ocean’ by Led Zeppelin, and I’ll eventually figure that out, but this is the first track on the first CD I put in my car, so here we are.

It’s sort of fitting that this is where this thing starts, because I first heard this song on a mix CD that my brother made, and it may have been the first Bad Religion song I heard. It’s also interesting because it was only just a few days ago that I sat down and thought I could probably learn the intro solo to this song, so it’s a song that been booping around in my head for over a decade.
